RCCC has partnered with Refugee Hope Partners to reach out and minister to the refugee community in the Cary/Raleigh area. By engaging and “adopting” a refugee family we aim to build life-long, faith-based relationships. Anyone with a heart to serve would be welcomed and encouraged to participate in the ministry for the Kingdom of Christ. Opportunities to serve include the following areas:
Education & Enrichment
- Helping kids with their homework; helping parents with job searches and learning American cultural norms.
- Building up English skills; promoting confidence in their work/life interactions
Health & Wellness
- Driving families to doctor appointments
- Helping families as they navigate the health world and deciphering English jargon at their appointments
Faith & Community
- “Adopting” a refugee family
- Cultivating a strong relationship with this family; getting to know them; and ministering with them throughout their day-to-day life experiences
This is such a great opportunity to show Christ’s love to people who need attention and love. The heart of the Lord is in caring for the needy and the sojourners (Exodus 22:21, Deuteronomy 10:18, Jeremiah 22:3, Romans 13:9-10)
If you have any questions or would like to get involved with the ministry please contact Jessica Ting or sign up with this online form.
