5 Principles of AWANA

Mission Statement:
Awana helps church and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our program offers a proven approach for evangelizing and discipline kids in the church and community.
Goal:

  • To reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ.
  • To train them to serve Him!

RCCC AWANA Ministry at Friday evening from 7:30pm to 9:30pm

  • Opening Ceremony – Check-in starts at 7:15pm; and all AWANA clubs’ opening ceremony at 7:30pm.
  • Large Group Time – The entire club meets together for singing, a Bible lesson, testimonies, award presentations and announcements.
  • Handbook Time – Clubbers meet with individual leaders in a small group setting. This time allows leaders and clubbers to build up relationships. Leaders help clubbers to memorize Bible verses, understand the verses’ meanings, answer questions about the Bible lesson and share the gospel with clubbers.
  • Game Time – This is a fun, high-energy time that attracts children to club. This segment is a practical process base on the Bible learning during the games to build up clubbers’ good characters like patience, obedience, team work, perseverance, honest etc.

awana_newlogo[:zh]AWANA是國際性、跨宗派的兒童事工。
AWANA出自新約聖經提摩太後書2:15，由英語經文「Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed」   每個單詞的首個英文字母組合而成，中文翻譯出來的意思就是在神面前「得蒙喜悅作無愧的工人」。   目標是透過遊戲及背誦聖經獎勵計劃等，讓兒童在歡樂中有系統地認識聖經真理、學習團隊精神、溝通技巧和建立自信。
AWANA面向3歲至5年級的兒童，根據年齡和年級的不同分三個班：

  1. Cubbies (Age 3 – 4)
  2. Sparks (K – Grade 2)
  3. T&T (Grade 3 – 5)

AWANA的活動時間是每週五晚7:30-9:30，
Cubbies班的活動內容包括：

  1. 繪畫手工活動;
  2. Puppet show, 唱歌跳舞，講故事，做遊戲，homework checking;
  3. 吃點心。

Sparks 和 T&T 班的活動內容包括：

  1. 信息時間;
  2. 小組時間;
  3. 遊戲時間。
2019 新季度在一月１１日開始, 目前仍接受報名!!
