ESL (English as Second Language)

The goal of the ESL ministry is to show the love of Christ through helping English As a Second Language students gain the necessary skills needed to communicate effectively in English so that they will be able to live and survive in American society and culture.

Classes are offered from Level I, II, III and IV as determined by the ESL interviewer during a placement test. There is no fee for attending classes but the students have to purchase their own books. Registration is ongoing throughout the year but enrollment will be dependent on teacher volunteers’ availability. Classes can be in-person or by zoom which can be discussed during the first interview.

MSL (Mandarin as Second Language)

Classes are offered from Beginner, Intermediate to Advanced Level based on the student’s level of experience as noted in the MSL Registration Form.
There is no fee for attending classes but the students have to purchase their own books. Registration is ongoing throughout the year but enrollment will be dependent on teacher volunteers’ availability. Classes are ongoing from early January to end of May and from early August to mid-December, except during Public Holidays. Classes are in-person for the Beginner Class and by zoom for the Intermediate and Advanced Classes.
